Basically, there are the spacetiicdes you fight in Tendril Tantrum.

They are under the thumb of Maelstrom, hence the term "minion".

Let's reveal the first of our Spaceticide minions:

Spaceti-pical
Your run-of-the-mill Spaceticide. He is at the bottom of the minion pool and thus very likely to fall to Maelstrom's wrath. An usual defense spray will be enough to get rid of him.

Where did you get the word "Maelstrom" from? I heard that word from LEGO® Universe.

do they do any harm since we battle the in ship battles....

do you think they will give us seeds,gears,get-ups,or maybe gizmos....lets hope we can be lucky for that to happen because im looking for more gears and stuff......... thats why im saving up.

Well, "maelstrom" is actually a simple noun in English. We just capitalized it. ;)

Besides, here, you can see that Maelstrom was mre or less always part of GalaXseeds' backstory. It's just that after Craeton's demise, he took over.

ad55a3, we will actually see the Spaceticides as shown here, that is, outside of their ships. Currently, I don't think they have much gears or get-ups, but who knows, in time...

Well, that is one of the mystery of GalaXseeds: one day, Craeton is the Spaceticides' overlord, the next it's Maelstrom.

No one really knows what has happened to Craeton, except perhaps for Maelstrom. The latter is quite touchy on the subject, so I'd advise against asking him about his former boss.
