This contest allows you to win a very rare item.

Screenshots of all participants’s pods in Friday, 30 October 2009 even can be found here.

There are ordered alphabetically, as are the names in the polls. The image is named after the pod's owner, and the name is also in the top-right corner.

Please vote for your favourite.

This contest will run from today, Thursday, November 5 2009 to Thursday, November 19 2009. On Thursday 19, this thread will be locked and precisions will be given on the reward ceremony, Friday November 27th 2009.

We will do them regularly., although the frequence hasn't been decided yet.

 

This one was actually scheduled to happen later, but since my plan a for halloween didn't work 9ah the wonders of glitches ;)), I improvised. Next contest and screenshot taking will be announced a lot more in advance.

Well it is too late for this one, but we will have another one very soon, probably around Christmas or right after the new Year at the lattest.

 

I will make sure you are better inform this time. I will also see if there is an ergonomic way for you to simply submit your screenshots.

Well, there's a very real possibility of xboyx having creating several "alternate" accounts just to vote.

We authorise players to create several accounts with the same personal info and email. We do not encourage this as it just skews our statistics, but it is not illegal.

That would explain how we got so many vote in the first place, and so many for xboyx...

 

A possible answer to this is: if you won the previous contest you will not be entered in the latest one, to assure everyone as a chance. In effect, even with someone spamming the vote, they could "only" win one item every two contest.

I'm just not sure how fair this is to "legit" winner.

And yes, (loosely) limitating the number of accounts per mail address would help too, so we are working on thi. But this is not in our best interest at the moment, so even once we get past the code part (always a huge hurdle) we may wait a little before implementing it.

We do hope our users will act with some maturity, as a large portion has already proved to act right in this thread, by not voting for your own pod. But there will always be more excess-prone people. We may have to limit everyone so that these few power-hungry people do not kill the game for everyone else.

I know it is a great frustration to be limited because some poeple can see pat their greed, but better to be slightly limited but enjoy the game as it should be, than be free and see your gaming experience spoiled.
