No, it's automatic.

On the other hand, I will monitoring the forums during the holidays, so you can continue posting.

As for the event, if you are referring to the Spaceticide Invasion... This is out of my hands.

If you are referring to the Christmas event, THIS is the Christmas event on Glx this year.

Seeds, I got the present from heelbarrow but not (I think) the XP boost. How Much Was the XP boost? NOTE: I was there On Christmas Day

One more thing, It was a good thing to just decorate a winter wonderland than not Christmas stuff on the Appodment Complex (where you can access your pods) because there maybe people who DON'T celebrate Christmas.
